Local League News

Congratulations to Hawaii County on the Know Your County booklet which is finally off the press. The League received a grant of $6,000 from the county to publish the book. They could probably make another $6,000 if they sold their story of "how we did it" to the soap opera people.

Voters on Oahu went to the polls better informed on the candidates for prosecutor thanks to Honolulu League's highly successful television pro-grams! After the trauma of the first time out (before the primary), the second time was a snap. A special thanks to KITV Channel 4 for donating the prime time to help inform the voters. Congratulations to Honolulu.

Kauai League also worked hard so the voters would know more about the candidates. They published two Candidates Guides in the Garden Isle newspaper - one before the primary election and one prior to the general election. Hip, hip hooray for Kauai!
