Maui League UnderwaySeveral times in the past, people have tried to establish a local league on Maui. At one time we even had a Unit at Large on Maui and there are still some Members at Large there and on Molokai. Once again there is interest in forming a Maui League. Tamara Horcajo, coordinator of LEAA for Mayor Tavares, has invited the League to participate in the 5th Annual Maui County Women's Conference. Rhoda Miller will introduce Maui residents to the League; Cathy Filson of Hilo (JJ chair) will talk about League's Juvenile Justice Program. We need the names of Maui residents who may be interested in joining. They will be invited to the Conference on October. 24th, in order to get a personal glimpse of how the League operates, what
it does and what it can do for Maui. Please give any names to MARIAN WILKINS (261-0549) or call the office (531-7448) and leave a message.
