Honolulu League
The public had a chance to meet and hear about the candidates running for the Board of Education at a forum held on October 24. The forum was co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters Honolulu, the McKinley High School PTSA, and the University of Hawaii Department of Education Foundation.
The Honolulu League also cosponsored a meet the candidates day at Bishop Museum.
Public mayoral debates were in the planning but were canceled when Mayor Anderson decided not to debate.
