Leasehold in Hawaii
The League of Women Voters of Hawaii in June adopted leasehold as one of two new study items and a committee has been meeting since to explore the subject. The committee has held personal interviews with several people in the community who hold differing viewpoints on leasehold in Hawaii. Additionally, they have asked others to submit views for inclusion in Leo Hana. Last issue included a personal viewpoint from Jim Koshi; the following are viewpoints of others taken from written articles or statements made by them. While some are League members, their statements do not represent the position of the League of Women Voters of Hawaii. The League has not yet reached consensus on the subject of leasehold in Hawaii.
