E-mail v. Public Officials and the Sunshine Law

When elected officials start a group e-mail discussion, even if it means just sending a courtesy copy to colleagues, they are violating Hawaii's open meetings law, known as the Sunshine Law. If officials talk about how they vote, it always violates the law, no matter how informal the e-mail discussion.
