Chair LUKE, Vice-Chair NISHIMOTO, and Committee Members: The League of Women Voters of Hawaii strongly supports SB452 SD1 HD1. This measure amends the dates for filing supplemental campaign spending reports so that the reports would be filed annually on January 31, rather than on January 31 “after an election year.” Making this change should make clear to candidates when reports are required and enable the Campaign Spending Commission to enforce filing of this January report in an election year. We support the measure taking effect upon approval.
