Study Groups Meet

Much valuable and interesting information gathered by the committee studying the Board of Public Parks and Recreation under the chairmanship of Mrs. William Chappell is being presented to Leaguers in study groups.

The first group met at the home of Mrs. W.B. Herter on January 26. Mrs. Herter served coffee to the shivering Leaguers who turned out at 9:00 A.M. and thus stimulated a pleasant crossfire of questions and answers about the administration and financing of our Parks Board. Mrs. Note Thompson, Publicity Director of the Salem, Oregon League was an interested visitor and had some helpful hints for Honolulans.

The second group met at Miss Thelma Chun-Hoon's on January 29. A lively discussion was held on the personnel and recreational facilities of the Parks Board. Refreshments were served by Miss Chun-Hoon and brought the evening to a very pleasant end.
