Schedule for 1959-1960

The LWV Board has outlined tentative plans for the coming year, the major part of the discussion to be carried on at Unit meetings. These meetings will be held during the fourth week in the month, dates to be set by individual Units. In addition to the neighborhood groups a luncheon Unit is planned, probably at the YWCA.

Foreign Policy--at Units

The League's program is conducted on three levels:

  1. Intensive study of agenda items by Resource Committees

  2. Discussion in Units of material provided by Resource Committees

  3. Summary of high lights of Unit discussions at luncheon meetings planned for those unable to participate in neighborhood Units

Dorothy Randall reports that her committee on Water has met four times and is ready to present material in September and October. They are anxious for League members to discover for themselves how and why Rip Van Winkle influenced our water development program.

Mildred Saunder's committee on Foreign Policy is under way and will welcome recruits who are interested in study in this large area. Call Mildred at 965-312.
